- Created the first working POP-Authenticated Relaying system for a commercial mail server. The system allows users logging into the mail server from a remote host to relay messages through the server when anti-relaying is on, if they are valid system users.
- Learned MIME standards for message encoding and implemented an encoding/decoding scheme for MIME types in an email server software.
- Worked on email server software for Windows NT 4.0, learned SMTP mailing standards.
- Fixed various bugs in the anti-relay and anti-spam filters for the SLMail email server, for example allowing routing exceptions to be accepted through an anti-relay filter.

- Worked on a font conversion tool to convert both bitmap and TrueType fonts to Palm fonts.
