10月31日日曜 天気：雨 行事：休み-岡山県倉敷市～徳島県東祖谷山村
昨日､倉敷市まで行った。今朝､倉敷のたくさん美術館をうかがった。すごくきれいな美術品が見られた。僕は美術品プリントを買った、「和服を着たベルギーの少女」という物。あとで､瀬戸大橋で四国に行った。今晩「､ちいおり」という古い茅葺屋根の民家で止った。この古い家はとてもきれい場所だ。スタッフの皆さんとたくさんおもしろい話をしていた。
11月1日月曜 天気：晴れ 行事：休み-徳島県東祖谷山村
今日､たくさんおもしろい場所に行った。初めてで､剣山を登った。剣山のハイクは大変だったがシグニーも剣山で「剣の山を登った」だった。^_^あとで奥祖谷かずら橋をうかがった。シグニーの両親はとても楽しい時間があった。僕のために一番おもしろいことは美しく「ちいおり」で止まることだ。その古い茅屋は昔日本みたく場所だ。本当にすばらしかった。^_^
11月2日火曜 天気：雲 行事：休み-徳島県東祖谷山村～広島県広島市
今日､東祖谷山村の「ちいおり」から広島市まで行った。それから､たいていの日車で通った。午前､R439で東祖谷山村から高知県まで行った。その道はきれいだがすごく狭くて曲がり道だった。僕は気持ちが悪かった。京柱峠で昼食のためのしし肉うどんを食べた。うまかった！あとでI.C.から愛媛県松山市に行ったり､フェリーで広島市行ったりした。いい日だった。
11月3日水曜 天気：雲 行事：休み-広島県広島市～島根県赤来町
一日中､広島市を探検した。平和公園と平和術館にうがかった。シグニーの両親はおもしろい時間があったがちょっと悲しかった。原爆ドームはとてもパワフルだった。僕たちはワールド・フレンドシップ・センターに止まった。その場所は核廃絶センターだ。管理人さんは米国のおばあさんだった。おばあさんはたくさんおもしろい核の情報を教えた。例えば､DUの危ないこと！

2004-10-31 Sun. Weather: Rainy Plan: Vacation- Kurashiki, Okayama to East Iya Mountain Village, Tokushima
Yesterday we went to Kurashiki. This morning we visited the many art museums in Kurashiki. I got to see many great pieces of art. I bought an art print called "Belgian Girl in Kimono." After that we crossed the Seto Bridge over to Shikoku. That evening we stayed at an old thatched-roof house called "Chiiori." This old house is a very beautiful place. The staff told us lots of interesting stories about it.
2004-11-01 Mon. Weather: Sunny Plan: Vacation- East Iya Mountain Village, Tokushima
Today we went to lots of interesting places. First we climbed Mt. Tsurugi. The hike was really hard, but Signe and I did that dangerous task together. :) Afterwards, we went to the East Iya Vine Bridges. Signe's parents had a great time there. For me, the best part was staying at the beautiful "Chiiori." That old thatched-roof house is like a place out of old Japan. It really was amazing.
2004-11-02 Tue. Weather: Cloudy Plan: Vacation- East Iya Mountain Village, Tokushima to Hiroshima, Hiroshima
Today we left "Chiiori" in the Iya Vally and went to the city of Hiroshima. So, we spent most of the day in the car. In the morning we took Route 439 throughthe Iya Valley up to Kochi. Although that is a beautiful road, it is very narrow and winding. I was feeling a little sick. At the summit we ate Wild Boar Udon for lunch. It tasted great! After that, we took the expressway to Matsuyama in Ehime and then the ferry from there to Hiroshima. It was a good day.
2004-11-03 Wed. Weather: Cloudy Plan: Vacation- Hiroshima, Hiroshima to Akagi, Shimane
We spent all dat exploring Hiroshima. We wnt to the Peace Park and the Peace Museum. Signe's parents thought it was interesting, but a little sad. The A-Bomb Dome was very powerful. We stayed at the World Friendship Center. It is an anti-nuclear center. The manager is an older woman from America. She taught us a lot of interesting information about nuclear troubles. Like the dangers of depleted urainium!
