The 8^th and 9^th grade classes started today. We are splitting up the English and math classes into two groups starting this year. Akagi Junior High School only has 99 students, that makes one grade level about 33 students in size. In Japan, if one grade level is over 40 students, the students are split into two classrooms, but if there are up to 39 students they stay as one class. In a class that large it is hard to learn anything, so we are trying out splitting the classes in half for English and Math. I wonder how it will turn out...

今日、2，3年生英語授業を始めました。今年度、英語と数学の授業は2クラスに別れます。赤来中学校は99人生徒だけがいるので、1つの学年部は約33人だけです。日本で1つの学年部は40人以上、2組みになるが、39人まで1組みだけで集めます。その大きさのクラスでは学びにくいので、英語と数学のために2クラスに別れてみます。どうかな?
