[an error occurred while processing this directive] the Trev Report for 1997-06-20 [an error occurred while processing this directive]
Hello all. It's time once again for another Trev Report. Keeping YOU informed
with the goings on of my life.

Trev's Work

I must say, work is treating me good. I am enjoying myself. I am working on
two projects right now. They should both be over by the end of next week (I
hope). I am learning how to program the PalmPilot device using CodeWarrior. It
is really cool. I was thinking of the best way to really learn a language.
Then it hit me, do what John does! So I printed out the 1000+ page SDK Manual
and started reading. I am about a third of the way through it. With working on
the SDK everyday (both of my projects are SDK related) and reading the Manual, I
am really starting to get the hang of it. I want to buy an inexpencive Mac (>
$1000) and get CodeWarrior. There is a Windows version of CodeWarrior, but
after working with the dumbos at Metrwerks I have found out that the Mac version
is MUCH better (that is to say bug-free). The SDK group at Palm has a lot of
not very nice things to say about Metrowerks.

Trev's Anime

For those of you that haven't heard I am swearing off buying Anime products
except for fansubs for the entire summer. I have vowed to only spend $20 a week
on Anime and that will go towards buying fansubs for the WSU Anime Club to show
next semester. No AnimeExpo, no more t-shirts, no more Anime CDs, no more
commercial tapes, no more posters, no more manga. April-chan is going to keep
me accountable with that. This is going to be hard. I am a hardcore otaku, but
my checkbook can't take the strain anymore. I figure if I spend my money on
fansubs for the club it will be more beneficial for everybody. While I'm on the
subject of the Club, I would like to start seeing progress in the Club
advertizing efforts. We want the entire campus to know there is a WSU Anime
Club. The first 2 weeks are the most important. That means flyers in the
dorms, sandwich boards, banners in Stadium Way, the works! I can't be there, so
I am counting on you guys.

Trev's Bike

I recieved a bike from a coworker to ride for the summer, the only problem with
it is the brakes are real crappy. I want to go to a bike store this weekend,
but I don't think I will get around to it. I must say riding a bike is a LOT
better than walking everywhere.

Trev's Buddies

Well I am seeing Mike this weekend. I hope I can come down for Thanksgiving
Break, I haven't seen everybody in a real long time. I haven't seen April at
all. As for this summer, I hope that Brian can make it down to Mountain View by
train or something. I have to show him Japan Town and stuff. Well Mike is gone
for a long time and Andy will be leaving before I come back. It's going to be
weird.

Trev's Apartment

I got a new roommate today, his name is Victor. I haven't got to know him yet
but he seems like a nice guy. I am still waiting on Brian to find an apartment
up at school. I think that he has almost found one. I'll be major relieved
once that's all taken care of. I am going to start cooking at home here in Mnt.
View. $15/day for food is just too much. I am going to the store today
following the advice of April and Mike.

Trev's Music

I just bought Goodman's rendition of the Brandenburg Concertos, which remain to
be one of my favorite scores. I want to get some more Baroque style stuff, any
suggestions? Besides that I have bought five Anime CDs: Please Save My Earth
Image Soundtrack, Maison Ikkoku Music Blend, Kimagure Orange Road Best
Collections, Fushigi Yuugi Single Collections, and Aa Megami-sama Singles. I'll
review them in a later Report. I will also review the fansubs I view in
upcoming reports. I just ordered: Saber Marrionette R Vol. 1, 2, 3 (complete
story), and Birdy the Mighty Vol. 1, 2, 3, 4 (complete story) on 3 tapes from
HECTO Anime. I am getting better on my Bass Guitar. I can actually play
something that resembles music now, MAJOR PROGRESS. I am practicing playing the
Blues now. It's way fun.

Trev's Lovelife

N/A. Otakus find it hard to get girlfriends. Although it is possible. I just
need to find a female Otaku. None the less, I am incouraged by seeing my
friends find their way through the misty fields of love. I am bound to find the
right one someday. Until then though I am just going to continue to write
stupid things in this catergory.

Trev's Goddess

All praise Skuld! Goddess of the future! All people who are now sitting at a
computer with 4 Skuld Idol cards on it must scream "I love Skuld" clap their
hands and say "Shoooooooo." Then goto www.luc.ac.be/~ef00/skas/ and read the
nifty Skuld ML fanfic (I wrote part 2 and I am planning to write part 8).

Trev's Web Page

I updated my webpage so check it out! eecs.wsu.edu/~tmenagh/
I would like to get a little BDC icon like the SkAS or WSUAC one on my page to
put a link to the BDC page. I would also like Brian to make a nifty little icon
the size of the SkAS one (so it looks smooth).

Well that's it for this edition of the Trev Report. I am thinking that I want
ot start archiving my Trev Reports (taking a cue from Mike's idea). I will
figure that out and report on it in a later report.

Regards,
Trevor
