[an error occurred while processing this directive] the Trev Report for 2002-09-25 [an error occurred while processing this directive]
Hello all and welcome to the Trev Report for this month. I
apologize for not having one last month, but I was so busy
looking for a job I didn't do one.
I am still out of work, BTW, so if anyone has connections
that could help me, that would be great!
Now on with the report!

Trev's Lovelife

Signe and I are doing well. Not having a job can be hard on
a relationship sometimes, but we are working through it
together.
Signe is still at the Oaks Theater and looking for a new
job as well, while working her job. We are both toying with
the idea of the JET program as well. Which would be a fun
thing to go and do while the economy is still in its
downturn.
We have also started watching Buffy together. We have
finished the first 2 seasons, and will be getting seasons
3-6 on tape soon.

Trev's Anime

Well since last time we talked I have watched all of
Macross, Jubei-chan, and a few other shows I have barrowed
from friends.
No-Name is running along as great as ever. I love that
club; it is fun to work with the club to show people cool
stuff (TM).
The FanimeCon staff meetings have started. I will be the
Panels Coordinator once again, so if anyone has panel ideas
email me at panels@fanime.com and it will get to me. I have
hired Andrew Tei (from No-Name) as my second this year, so
that should be really fun working together.
Signe and I have also been hanging out a lot with Judy and
Kel, the Stitchin' Babes. Doing lots of fun anime-related
stuff. :D

trv no go

I haven't been t Go club in ages, but I keep up my online
games at ItsYourTurn.com. I really enjoy playing there with
people. I am also working my way though the Learn To Play
Go series by Janice Kim, which supposes to be really well
written.

Trev's Computers

My computers are still keeping strong. Mike Chu has found
us a really cool aquarium screen saver, so it is happy.
Thank goodness nothing has gone wrong with them.
Speaking of that...

Trev's Car

So, a couple of days ago our car officially died for good,
but Signe has to work and I had an interview 45 miles away
today. We needed a car! Fortunately we have been
researching this for quite some time and went to our
favorite dealer H and H Motors and got ourselves a used
car...a used Mercedes-Benz! Woohoo!
We now have a used 1993 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.6, white. It
is pretty cool, V6, rides smooth, etc. We are way stoked
about it!

Trev's E/N site...

As if the Trev Report isn't enough, I now have a blog on
LiveJournal. It is at
http://www.livejournal.com/users/trevmex/. So if your
monthly spam from me isn't enough, you can get daily spam
there. :P

Trev's DDR

Signe and I have recently gotten into Dance Dance
Revolution, a fun dancing game! We are both completely
hooked. We are barrowing Judy and Kel's DDR pads for the
Playstation and we play at least once a day. For those of
you that know we can do 5 feet with A's now and I just
passed my first 6 feet song (Trip Machine) a couple days
ago. Woot!

Trev's Job Hunt

The job hunt goes. I am still looking, but I have broadened
my search. I am looking for anything in DTS, SQA, Technical
Support, or Software Programming. I just came back from a
Tech. Support interview in Brisbane (CA) today, so we will
see how that goes.

Trev's Books

Well, even though I went to WorldCon last month in San
Jose, promoting FanimeCon, I didn't buy any super cool
books there. I did see lots of famous people though, like
George R.R. Martin, Harry Turtledove, Patrick Steward, and
Terry Pratchett. Oh and did you all know that the Wild
Cards stories are being started again (from where they left
off). That should make at least Scott (who introduced me to
them) excited.
I've actually been reading programming books on C++,
Python, and Java lately though. Just trying to beef up my
skills and learn some new stuff while I am unemployed.

That's about it for this edition of the Trev Report. Feel
free to email me anytime I am usually around and I love
hearing from all of you. Until next month, take care!

Yours,
trv
